St Wenn and Withiel

I’m a wee bit weary after this one.  This was one long ramble.  It was warm as well.  And we had to fight our way through overgrown paths swiping at nettles and brambles with big sticks.  Well… be honest, Mr RR swiped and swung with a big stick, I just wandered along behind clutching a twig and sighing dramatically.

Cape Cornwall and Cornish Mining History

Well, hasn’t it turned out to be a lovely day….it has in this part of the world anyway!

We went west today, down to Cape Cornwall – the only headland in England referred to as a ‘cape’ apparently. We used directions from which, as always, were thorough with some very interesting information included. Didn’t stop us getting lost though…on the way back we got confused, took a wrong turn and ended up back on the coast path. Continue reading
